Keep “Vinyl Siding Melt” Off Your Thanksgiving Menu

If you plan to deep fry your Thanksgiving turkey this year make sure you know the proper safety precautions to prevent problems for yourself or your vinyl siding. While deep fried turkeys taste great, deep fat fryers generate a lot of heat over a long period of time. This is the perfect recipe to cause heat damage to your vinyl siding. Excessive heat of this type can cause vinyl siding to warp or even melt. The smoke generated by the fryer can also stain or discolor your siding. For these reasons make sure to keep the fryer at least 10 to 15 feet from the house.
